To Alabama!
Leaving from North Carolina left us with a long 7 1/2h haul to Huntsville Alabama, but we made the best of it. It took two cars and a lot of bathroom breaks. We passed the time by playing games, chatting, trivia, and for some of us, naps.
The NASA center
We were able to meet with the other teams and learn about various space facts and facts regarding NASA. We even rode some rides and use interactive learning games.
It was awesome to see the enormous equipment and rocket ships!
The Event
After NASA, the event began!
We played various team building exercises and challenges such as blindfolded matches. We met a lot of new friends and were able to share our tips and tricks. We even presented our presentations to those who gathered. It was an exciting weekend hosted by 20979 Redstone Robotics! They are an expanding team in Huntsville, who work together to enthuse over robotics and the community, sharing gracious professionalism wherever they travel.

Overview
This trip was an awesome experience to connect with teams around the world. It allowed us to see designs we were unfamiliar with and what materials and techniques we haven’t seen. We were able to return the favor by sharing about our robot and how we handled the PowerPlay challenge. Thanks again to RedStone Robotics for setting this up!
