FIRST Lego League Demo

Our team went to Orange County High School, where a local FIRST Lego League (FLL) qualifier was going on. We were there with a few other teams to demo. We were one of three FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams, and there was also a FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC) team. Overall, there were over 600 people in the event, which we had the opportunity to share about FTC with. It was awesome to let the kids see what their future in FIRST could look like.

They were particularly fascinated by what our robot could do, and how it did those things. They asked about the wheels, sensors, and design process. They also had a blast catching our airplane using our launcher, we did too! We even had adults joining in on the fun!

When we had a free moment, such as lunch break, we kept ourselves busy. We worked on a couple minor hardware fixes and had a lot of coding done by Madelyn, thanks Maddie!

We had a wonderful time at the demo and loved seeing cheerful faces when they saw our robot. We hope we inspired some young engineers to continue their path in STEM and strengthen their love for FIRST.
