Our Scrimmage In Elon

On January 8th, 2022, we organized a scrimmage at a local church. We kept our invite list short to ensure safety for our guests, our referees, and our volunteers. We also mandated masking. Our goal was to allow rookie teams to have practice and experience a First event. We were ecstatic with our turn-out and happy that we could give them that opportunity. We enjoyed being able to interact with teams and compete with them. Our friends over at Aperture Science, team 5064, volunteered to live-stream the whole event on YouTube along with live scoring.

Helping out a Local Rookie FTC Team

On December 22nd, 2021, we met up with Ascend Aviators, team 19403. We talked about and helped with their software and hardware, along with answer any questions they had. We made sure to bring an Engineering Notebook from a previous year to show them what that should look like.

Local Science Fair Demonstration

March 3rd, 2020 (Pre-pandemic) Our team volunteered to judge a local homeschool group’s science fair. The group’s name is Welcome. We also demoed last year’s robot and let the kids take turns driving it. It was a lot of fun! We also ran a small snack booth with pizza, cookies, and drinks.

Due to COVID19 our team has had a lack of opportunities for outreach.
